Breakfast and After School Clubs
Our Breakfast and After School Clubs will resume from Tuesday 1st September [Monday is the Bank Holiday]. The Clubs are open to all children, EYFS – Y6.
Bookings will be open from Thursday 27th August. To book any of our clubs, you will need to download the School Gateway app. This is available for both Android and Apple users:
Android devices - Google Play
Apple devices - App Store
Capacity for each club is set at:
Breakfast Club: 40 children
After School & Teatime Clubs: 44 children
This allows for zoning, ‘bubbles’ and social distancing as per the current guidelines. There will be three zones/bubbles:
- EYFS, Y1 & Y2
- Y3 & Y4
- Y5 & Y6
Within these phase bubbles we will also try to ensure children are grouped according to their year groups to minimise contact.
The zones will be fixed spaces marked out within the hall within which the bubbles will operate. Unlike the class bubbles, the Clubs bubbles will be maintained as per the above Year Group zones but size and structure may vary day-to-day depending on the takeup.
Breakfast Club 7.30 – 8.45am
Breakfast Club will be in the Hall and children will stay in the Hall for the duration of the club. Children will remain seated in their zones and will be served their breakfast by Mrs Douglas and Club staff. Children must arrive by 8am latest in order to be served breakfast – we cannot guarantee that children will have breakfast if they arrive after 8am. Children will then be walked down to their classrooms in time for the start of school (in a socially distanced manner and as per their staggered start times).
Booking deadline: by midnight the previous evening
After School Club 3.30 – 4.30pm
After School Club will be in the Hall and, weather permitting, each bubble will spend some time outside with Mr Douglas on a rotation basis. Children will be collected at the end of the school day and walked down to the Hall (in a socially distanced manner).
Teatime Club 4.30 – 5.30pm
(only available to children booked in to the After School Club)
Teatime Club will be in the Hall. Children will remain seated in their zones and will be served their tea by Mrs Cooke and Club staff.
Booking deadline for After School & Teatime Clubs: by 10am on the day
Table-top activities will be available at all Clubs, and designated resources will be allocated to each Club and available on a rotation basis to allow for time for cleaning inbetween sessions.
Children must be dropped off and picked up from the main reception door for all Clubs. Club staff will be on hand to sign children in/out and ensure social distancing, sanitising etc is maintained.
