We believe the rights of the child should be at the heart of everything we do. These rights are listed in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and are based on what a child needs to survive, grow, participate and fulfil their potential.

We spent time yesterday talking through some of the rights, where they came from (the UN Convention on the Right of the Child) and why they are important.

This is an exciting journey and one we are delighted to be on. We will return to this topic over the year and continue our work to embed these rights into our everyday, to ensure our children receive the support they need to become the best they can be. And hopefully, by the end of the year, we will be recognised as a Rights Respecting School.
