Year 6

In Year 6 it seems to be all go!  Every day is packed with exciting activities.  Each term we have topics to explore which include:

  • Coastlines
  • Victorian Britain
  • The Aztecs

Our Literacy and Numeracy work is preparing us for SAT’s in the Summer Term.

Autumn Term 2010:

We love finding out the facts in Science lessons and this term we are having a whole week of learning about Micro-Organisms.  We have been baking bread, rotting compost and even looking at mouldy food under the microscope.  We have even learnt how far germs can spread when you sneeze!!

Some children are having Cycling Profieciency Training and learning how to ride safely on their bikes and make sure their bike is in good working order.

We are looking forward to a six day Residential visit to Kingswood in West Runton – we are hoping that the November weather will be kind to us as we will be doing lots of outdoor activities.

And of course there is Christmas! Year Six will be visiting Beaumanor Hall on the last day of term and experiencing Christmas in a Victorian style!

We will keep you updated as the year goes on!
