June 2009 - A really big thank you to everyone who supported Tsiyon recently by baking or buying cakes.
Our two cake sales raised £66.77 which we are delighted with!! This money will make a real difference to Tsiyon and her family.
The School Council
Tsiyon Zenebe is a little girl in Ethiopia. She lives with her aunt because her parents died shortly after she was born. She will be ten this year.
Our school sponsors her through the international children's charity EveryChild which sets up programmes and projects to improve the education, health and social development of children in many different parts of the world.
As part of our sponsorship responsibility, we encourage children at school to bring in a penny a week. The money that we collect is used to support Tsiyon and her family and give her the opportunity to go to school and have a better childhood. Our sponsorship really does make a world of difference to her life.
