Market Harborough C of E Primary School

 School Visits

Throughout the school year each class goes on a wide range of different visits which usually link in with their termly Year Group theme.  For example in Year 3 children have visited Beaumanor Hall as Evacuees as part of their World War II history topic and Year 4 really enjoyed their visit to Stratford when they were studying the life of William Shakespeare.  In Key Stage One the children have had a great time looking at their local environment and have had visits to the Fire Station, Library and local opticians.  They usually go on a visit during the summer term and have visited Conkers, Wickstead Park and Snibston Discovery Park during the last few years.  Day trips tend to change each year and are considered an invaluable part of the school curriculum.

Residential visits currently take place in Key Stage 2.

Year 4 visit Beaumanor Hall for 3 days just before the Easter Holidays, Year 5 visit Grafham Water for 3 days in March and Year 6 visit Kingswood in Norfolk for 6 days in November.
