We begin the year in September learning about the Romans. We will make some shields like these and practise a Roman drill in the playground.
We make Celtic roundhouses for Shelters in D&T.
Straw gets EVERYWHERE!
In Science we will learn about 'Keeping Warm' and in those Autumn months we learn about Diwali as part of our RE unit on Hinduism.
During the Spring term we will look at Market Harborough in some detail. We are going to do a traffic
survey in the town as it is often choc-a-bloc!
In ICT we will look at branching databases and repeating patterns. We will make tour guide leaflets for a castle and will be learning how to present data using ICT. We use the laptop trolley each week.
In the Summer term, we will be learning about the Tudors. In Science, we will be checking out Friction and Magnets & Springs. We will be making photograph frames in D&T.
We will continue with French, Music and Art with Miss Gogerly, Mrs Walker and Miss Taylor.
