ORANGES AND LEMONS
The players sing this song as they pass under an arch made by two people. On the last line they catch a person by dropping their arms. They have to whisper oranges or lemons and join behind the team of their choise.

Say the bells of
St. Clements.
I owe you
five farthings Say the bells of St. Martins.
When will you pay me?
Say the bells of Old Bailey.
When I grow rich
Say the bells of Shoreditch.
When will that be?

TAG GAMES

STUCK IN THE MUD
-Choose 1 or 2 catchers.
-Everybody runs around and the catchers try to tig them.
-Anybody who is caught ha to stand still with their arms and feet apart as if they were stuck in the mud.
-The people who are stuck can be freed if someone goes through their legs.

MORE CATCHING GAMES

WHAT'S THE TIME MR. WOLF
-One person is Mr. Wolf.
-The wolf stands at one side of the playground.
-The others stand behind a baseline or against a wall.
-The players ask: "Whats the time Mr. Wolf?"
-The wolf replies with a time e.g."two oclock"
-Each time the players get nearer to the wolf.
-When the wolf is ready they reply"dinner time"
-The wolf then turns and chases the players back to their base.
-The first one to be caught becomes the next Mr. Wolf.

CIRCLE GAMES

DUCK, DUCK GOOSE
-Everyone sits or squats in a circle.
-one person is chosen to be 'on'.
-they go round the outside of the circle touching everyone on the head saying 'duck' each time.
-when they are ready they choose someoe and touch them on the head and say: 'goose'
-the goose gets up andruns round the outside of the circle in the opposite direction to the person who is 'on'.
-they both try to get the empty space first.

 

 

 

BALL GAMES

CO-OPERATIVE SQUASH
2 Players hit a ball against a wall counting every time to see how long each rally lasts. The object is to try and improve their score by working together.
